Gem was the first puppy born from my first Belgian Sheepdog litter. She was the puppy I hadn't intended to keep. |
| In October 1996 Gem earned her AKC Herding Championship making her the first Belgian Sheepdog EVER to obtain an AKC Conformation Championship and an AKC Herding Championship. |

She was the breed's first and only Dual Champion Belgian Sheepdog. |
| She was also the first Female BSD to earn a Herding Championship. As of 2002 there are still only 3 HC Belgian Sheepdogs. |
